SYSTEM REQUIREMENT

Verify and update the SSL Setting of your computer
To ensure successful login, please complete the 2 steps below to verify the SSL Setting of the browser and Java installed in your computer.

Setting for Internet Explorer - Microsoft Windows

STEP 1 - Verify and update the SSL Setting of Browser
  • Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced, Check "Use TLS 1.0" and "Use SSL 3.0"

STEP 2 - Verify and update the SSL Setting of Java
  • Open Java Control Panel in Start -> Control Panel -> Java

  • Go to "Advanced" tab -> "Security", check "Use TLS 1.0" and "Use SSL 3.0"

If you have completed the above settings but still cannot login PPS, please re-install Sun Java Runtime, and choose "Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE)" (or download via http://www.java.com).

Setting for Firefox - Microsoft Windows

STEP 1 - Verify and update the SSL Setting of Browser
  • Go to Tools -> Options -> Advanced, Check "Use TLS 1.0" and "Use SSL 3.0"

STEP 2 - Verify and update the SSL Setting of Java
  • Open Java Control Panel in Start -> Control Panel -> Java

  • Go to "Advanced" tab -> "Security", check "Use TLS 1.0" and "Use SSL 3.0"

If you have completed the above settings but still cannot login PPS, please re-install Sun Java Runtime, and choose "Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE)" (or download via http://www.java.com).

Setting for Firefox - Macintosh

STEP 1 - Verify and update the SSL Setting of Browser
  • Go to Firefox -> Preferences (label 1a) -> Choose Advanced (label 1b) -> Encryption (label 1b) -> Check "Use TLS 1.0" (label 1c) and "Use SSL 3.0" (label 1c)

STEP 2 - Verify and update the SSL Setting of Java
  • Browse Applications (label 2a) -> Open Java Preferences (label 2b) -> Choose in Advanced (label 2c) -> Security (label 2c) and check "Use TLS 1.0" (label 2c) and "Use SSL 3.0" (label 2c) -> Click Save, if applicable (label 2d)

Setting for Safari - Macintosh

STEP 1 - Verify and update the SSL Setting of Browser
  • No change is required.
STEP 2 - Verify and update the SSL Setting of Java
  • Browse Applications (label 2a) -> Open Java Preferences (label 2b) -> Choose in Advanced (label 2c) -> Security (label 2c) and check "Use TLS 1.0" (label 2c) and "Use SSL 3.0" (label 2c) -> Click Save, if applicable (label 2d)

Java Applet
Java Applet will be downloaded automatically to further protect your personal information for every PPS financial request initiated from your browser to the PPS Web Site. For the successful execution of the Java Applet, your browser needs to have the appropriate Java Runtime Environment (also known as Java Virtual Machine, Java VM or JVM) ready.

  • Recommended Web Browsers with Sun Java Runtime, and choose "Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE)" (or download via http://www.java.com):
    • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0 or 8.0
    • Firefox 3.0 or 3.5

Macintosh
  • Operating System : Mac OS X 10.4 or 10.6
  • Required Web Browser with Java for Mac OS X :
    • Safari 3.2 or 4
    • Firefox 3.0 or 3.5

Linux
  • Operating System: Red Hat Linux 7.2 ( Kernal 2.4.7-10 ) / Fedora 10
  • Recommended Web Browsers with Sun Java Runtime, and choose "Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE)" (or download via http://www.java.com):
    • Mozilla 1.5
    • Firefox 3.0 or 3.5

Web Browser Settings:
  • Accept 128-bit SSL
  • Accept Cookies
  • Enable JavaScript
  • Screen resolution: 1024 x 768 pixels

  • Click Tools -> Internet Options at your browser menu bar
  • Click Security tab -> Internet -> Custom Level at your browser menu bar

  • Make sure that the option Disable Java under Java permissions hasn't been choosen

  • Choose Enable under Scripting of Java applets

  • Click Advanced tab -> Choose either JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled under Microsoft VM or Use JRE 1.x.x for <applet> under Java(Sun)

  • Click Tools -> Manage Add-ons -> Enable or Disable Add-ons... at your browser menu bar
    Select "Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment..." and make sure the "Enable" option for this Add-ons is selected

  • Click Content tab at your browser menu bar
  • Turn on both Enable JavaScript and Enable Java

  • Click Tools -> Internet Options at your browser menu bar
  • Click Privacy tab -> Advanced at your browser menu bar

  • Enable Override automatic cookie handling -> Choose Accept under First-party Cookies and Third-party Cookies

  • Click Tools -> Options at your browser menu bar
  • Click Privacy tab
  • Turn on both Accept cookies from sites and Accept third-party cookies

  • Click Help -> About Internet Explorer at your browser menu bar
